Teen Advocate Contest for Students to Promote Driving Safety: $10,000 Grand Prize
AAA is conducting a contest to run from July 1 through November 20, inviting high school and college age teens (13-19 years of age) to produce effective communication campaigns that will help AAA spread the Buckle Up message and otherwise promote driving safety. The contest is a grassroots effort designed to engage teens and their peers in conversations that will improve driver safety including the important message to wear safety belts, by encouraging them to create effective avenues and messages.

Entries may be presented as, but are not limited to the following:
a blog; a video appearing on YouTube, Facebook, MySpace or other "Social Media" websites; a Public Service Announcement (advertisement) on a local cable TV, radio, or Internet broadcast; a "Letter to the Editor" or editorial published in a community newspaper or a high school or college publication; an ad appearing on-screen in movie theaters; a poster on display and viewed by the public in a high visibility public space; etc.
Entry submissions must be original work and will be considered for their creativity, clarity and effectiveness. Because entries will be considered for effectiveness, participants are asked to submit verifiable information that explains approximately how many people saw or heard the finished product. Winners will be announced in December. AAA is awarding one $10,000 cash grand prize; (8) $2,000 second-place prizes; and (10) $1,000 third-place prizes for a total of $36,000.

Submissions should include where the entry was published and when; a copy of the published entry, and links to any submissions uploaded to the Internet (such as Social Media website). Additionally, entries submitted for the Digital category should be sent via DVD/CD format.
